Following from the success of Sunday’s event, on Monday night we hosted a special preview of our Made by Howe bar stools, developed from scratch for prestigious bars and restaurants. It was a great opportunity to turn our show room into our own bar to celebrate London Design Festival with the help of our friends from Clarendon Cocktail Cellar of Artist Residence who shook up a trio of delicious cocktails.

TENDER 10K

Far from the frenzied preparations of last week, Wednesday evening at Howe was a comparatively calm culinary experience. Joined by our neighbour Matthew from Colefax and a spirited turnout from the Howe team, we celebrated reaching 10,000 Instagram followers!

STIRRING IT UP

Organic Spicy minced lamb simmered on the stove as team Howe took on another day of work. Whilst the lamb bubbled away and the afternoon progressed the kitchen filled with busy hands and exotic smells. A hive of activity.

FIRST FORAGES

First forages from the garden at 93, a tiny courtyard that seems to be overflowing with produce inspiring all our staff lunches as well as bits and bobs added brought in by the Howe team. Organic and spontaneous (not a single recipe yet) is how it happens here and whoever is around joins in.

Royal Stafford is based in the Royal Overhouse Manufactory, one of the oldest pottery factories in Burslem, the Mother Town of the Potteries in Stoke-on-Trent. Founded in 1845, making it one of the oldest potteries in the area Royal Stafford became known around the world for creating excellent quality beautiful tableware.

Our range of tableware is the embodiment of Christopher’s design ethos. Resurrected from original Royal Stafford designs, the range serves as a beautiful and functional set of plates, bowls, pots and cups that are just as at home on a slab of fine Italian marble as on linen.

INTRODUCING THE HOWE KITCHEN

Christopher has drawn inspiration from C18th dressers, carefully sourcing functional hardware including nice old taps and a variety of handles, salvaged pitch pine for the long worktop and reclaimed teak for the utility room draining board. The blackened steel shelf above the range cooker makes a particularly satisfying feature and what was originally ribbed steel fire back has been reienvented by Christopher as the perfect splash back.
