Foxhound in Antique Green Linen
From the late C18th George III Period, this compact little settee is the foxhound of the sofa world, with a huge amount of character. Completely hand-crafted, utilising the strength of beech for the frame, mahogany for the legs and soft wood for the swept and outward scrolling arms. Upholstered in a deconstructed style revealing a threadbare worn antique carpet, while the inside back and arms are stitched an stuffed in horsehair, with pure down-filled seat cushions, and covered in hand dyed antique green linen. Standing on a classic Gainsborough style base, the plain square legs braced by stretchers, raised if desired on leather barrel castors.
