The Bath Project

“Both HOWE and Harding (& Read) share a love of mixing up eras and keeping visible the patina of family life…” The Saturday Times

This classic Bath stone house originally designed by the architect John Eveleigh in 1790 stands proud above the city of Bath. Having been split into student accommodation, Harding and Read invited Christopher to take part in a large collaborative project to transform it into a comfortable family home. “I think it’s important to achieve something that looks layered, rather than you have gone and bought everything in one go” says Christopher. Working sympathetically with the grand heights of this Georgian townhouse, the interior has been filled with a mix of antiques and bespoke Made by Howe furnishings which are both period appropriate and playful alongside Harding & Read’s colour combinations.
