19th Century Saddle Rack
A 19th Century pine saddle rack and tack storage chest, retaining the original black paint, the curved top and panelled sides having a pointed arch to the front above two long drawers with fabulously decorative gilt-brass drop handles and an additional storage area at the end, all raised on original brass castors. Traditionally used in 19th Century Country Houses in the bootroom or stables, but now perhaps something throw your clothes over and store your socks in ~ if you have a big enough bedroom! In very nice original condition with some surface wear consistent with use. England, 1850
