A Large Riveted Copper Cauldron
A large and beautifully crafted 19th Century copper cauldron, the loop handle hooked through two oversized brackets riveted to the main body, the natural beaten texture and verdigris finish having an original riveted band near the base. Probably used for collecting cider apples, making cheese or for preserving something sweeter. Brittany, France, circa 1880
