Friar’s Slipper Chair

The original prototype for the Sibyl Colefax and John Fowler ‘Friar’s’ chair, the high curved back with six float buttons, over a low seat, covered in green mohair velvet and finished at the base with a deep bullion fringe concealing turned mahogany front legs and brass cap castors and plain back legs. With luggage label outlining provenance in Imogen Taylor’s hand writing.
