C19th French Twig Table
An exceptionally rare 19th Century twig table of exquisite craftsmanship, the circular top displaying tiny smooth inlaid twigs of contrasting colours centred by a star enclosed by concentric chevroned rings, finished on the edge with leaves set within a bold scalloped border, over a reeded frieze finished with a looped edge, above a central column enclosed by four open hoops at the top, centred by a ring of small pine cones and raised on four downward swept legs braced by swirled and intertwined twigs. French (Auvernge or Haut Loire region), circa 1880.
