C19th Scumble Glazed Pine Chest

A fabulous original Victorian pine mule/blanket chest finished with an enchanting scumble glaze painted to simulate quarter-sawn oak with delightful medullary ray detail, the original lock and key release the strap hinged top revealing a clean interior with single lidded box above two small drawers to the left hand side, over a useful single long drawer with a pair of plain turned-wood bun handles, finished at the base with a moulded edge and metal drop handles on each side, in fabulous original condition.
