Early C19th Elm Chair

An early 19th century elm ladder back chair, the curved top rail with incised beaded border above two mid rails set between back legs with conforming detail, over a plain inset panel seat with striking grain, raised on plain tapered front legs and out-swept back legs, braced by peripheral stretchers. Some sign of historic worm now treated, in fabulous original untouched condition. Scottish (West of Scotland), circa 1830
