George III Occasional Table By Gillows

A rosewood occasional table by Gillows. The rectangular top of exceptional colour and figuring with a raised moulded border over a plain cross banded frieze, the lower front edge finished with running sausage and pea (not sure of the exact terminology here) carving, having sliding drawer at each end supported on plain antique pillars (as described in the Gillows catalogue), raised on duo-pod legs with dolphin feet concealing brass castors united by a turned stretcher. In exceptional condition, with paper label from Jordan and Cook, The Worthing Pantechnicon 1924. English, circa 1822
