Late C19th Century Azerbaijan Carpet

A late 19th Century carpet from South Azerbaijan, with a beautiful palette of colours, the field having an unusual light blue-green ground with five octagonal medallions containing ‘Memling gul’ motifs that repeat throughout, the inner border having a white ground with ‘crab’ design, the outer edge finished with a latch hook design. In very good clean condition.
