Late Regency Parquetry Occasional Table

A superlative and glamorous late Regency parquetry occasional table, the circular rosewood banded top with a striking lattice work design with a variety of timbers including burr walnut, satinwood, maple and rosewood, raised on a plain tapering column wrapped in a veneer of pollard oak above down scrolling triform base with conforming pollard oak veneer raised original brass castors. In fabulous original condition, the underside stamped ‘T.HALBERT’S cabinet and upholstery MANUFACTORY WICKLOW’ and bearing a retail label ‘JOHN DOOLEY & SONS LTD/FINE ART GALLERIES DAWSON STREET/DUBLIN’.
