Mid C20th Swedish Brass Segmented Brass Framed Mirror
A good size and increasingly rare mid 20th Century Swedish brass segmented mirror, the rectangular frame with curved corners in solid brass, the central plate flanked by borders of diamond shaped bevelled glass segments held with nickel studs. Of the best quality and in excellent order, the plate nicely oxidised. Sweden, circa 1940
The is glass manufactured by GT Glassmaker in the village of Hovmantorp and the brass frame made at SMF (Svenska möbel fabrikerna, Swedish furniture factories) in the Village Bodafors. Interestingly this mirror remains unsigned with no paper labels, suggesting that it was specially commissioned by a private client as a one-off bespoke piece.
