Oregon Pine Marble Topped Side Table

A Victorian marble topped washstand constructed in Oregon pine with magnificent colour and figuring, decorated with faux inlay painted rosettes in the aesthetic style. The two frieze drawers with stirrup handles on twin columns at each end raised on curved supports united by a double octagon stretcher. In the manner of Charles Bevan probably manufacture by Marsh, Jones & Cribb. The marble  backsplash removed, otherwise in untouched original condition. A classic and practical piece for an English country house bedroom. English, circa 1870/80
