Pair of C17th Oak and Dark Brown Hide Studded Armchairs
Each with rectangular back, open arms with turned supports and leather covered seats (with need of some restoration) on square legs and stretchers. The front legs and stretchers are bobbin turned, a pattern which found favour with the Puritans of the Cromwellian period. In wonderful untouched condition, now a rarity as much of this type of furniture was often heavily re-carved and embellished by the Victorians.
Construction English oak and leather. England, circa 1640s
