Pair of Late C19th Slipper Chairs

A wonderful pair of low late 19th Century Victorian slipper chairs, raised on ebonised turned front and swept back legs terminating in brass cup castors, traditionally reupholstered and covered in a striking vintage striped jajim weave with red, blue and yellow horizontal stripes, the outside back in a plain red cotton velvet, finished with a red space nailed leather braid, each corner having a hand cut red leather tassel. French, circa 1880
