Post-War Modernist Desk by James Leonard FSIA

An increasingly rare 1950s desk designed by James Leonard for Esavian, the trading brand name for the Educational Supply Association Ltd, the leading UK supplier of school furniture in post-War Britain. With solid teak top, two teak drawers and cast aluminium frame. Known as a Headmaster’s desk, this piece is in very good original condition with a beautiful patina and grain, bearing the all-important ivorine label in the left hand drawer. English, circa 1948
