A Rare C18th French Cylindrical Lantern

A rare C18th French Cylindrical Lantern of good scale, each quarter pane of floored glass framed within a fine moulded ogee frame, on ball feet terminating in crisply cast pineapple finials (a symbol of welcome) which secure conforming swan-neck arms suspended from a ceiling hook which is fitted with a glass smoke canopy. It has remained in remarkable original condition and even retains the hanging candelabra. French, c.1760.
