Regency Lion’s Paw Bergère Chair

A very fine and handsome mahogany Regency Bergère, the curved upper rail and reeded swept arms with caned panels and seat, having wonderfully bold and characterfully carved hairy lion’s paw supports, resting on an elegant turned leg and swept back legs with brass castors. In fantastic original condition, retaining the original cane, the traditionally upholstered horsehair squab cushion covered in 36 Bourne Street Humbug ticking finished with hand stitched crimped brown leather buttons.
