Travelling Greyhound in Sumptuous Suede and Velvet

Available now, a sumptuously soft Travelling Greyhound sofa in the finest quality Italian calf suede from Howe at 36 Bourne Street in Filly, a classic taupe. The seat cushion covered in a cosy warm-neutral hand dyed alpaca velvet.

In the tradition of British campaign furniture, one can dismantle this Greyhound settee to make it both more interesting and practical. A series of loose tenon joints and finger bolts allow the arms to be removed and the back to lift off, making the settee easily transportable, accessible for even the tiniest rooms at the top of a narrow staircase, or take it travelling! The fumed oak frame is traditionally hand-made and upholstered using hand-stitched horsehair and a pocketed down cushion. Once the hand-made bolts are secure, the clever, yet simple, traditional mechanics of the construction make it as stable as the fixed version of the Greyhound.
