A pair of early 19th Century French Empire Tôle Gas Lamps, each in the form of a fluted column with pierced gilt metal foliate leaf mounts, on a square stepped base with conforming foliate and acanthus leaf decoration. In excellent untouched condition, each with maker’s patent label, ready to be converted to electricity if required although these are of museum quality. French, circa 1820
