George IV Reclining Library Chair

A bold and of exceptional quality adjustable mahogany library chair, the scrolling arms and back with original horse-hair upholstery, the automatic ratchet mechanism allowing the back to drop and the seat to simultaneously move forward, on turned legs carved with lotus leaves, raised on brass Cope & Collinson cup casters, in remarkable perfect condition, probably by Thomas King. English circa 1835
