A Late Victorian Silver Mounted Bamboo Walking Cane with burr detail to the handle, the solid silver collar monogrammed, ‘WHPW’, bearing silver hallmarks and maker’s mark ‘Brigg’. English, circa 1870

Founded in 1836, Thomas Brigg & Sons, were makers of umbrellas and canes in London. They merged with the London firm of Swaine & Adeney to form Swaine, Adeney, Brigg & Sons Ltd in 1943.
