An English 1930’s Oak Folding Cake Stand

An early 20th Century oak folding cake stand, the two tray tiers each with 3/4 gallery set within a simple frame of plain square pointed uprights, spanned by a curved top rail having a pierced oval grip handle, finished at the base with bracket feet united by a sturdy simply shaped stretcher, the tapered flat wood operating mechanism with hinged brass bracket adding further support to the open stand, folding neatly to a flat panel when closed.
