An Exceptional and Very Rare Mahogany Hunt Table
A very rare and elegant Irish hunt table in two parts joining to form a horseshoe, constructed in Mahogany, the top with reeded edge and a brass gallery, which would have been used for a curtain while serving drinks, retaining all original brasswork, each segment raised on a bold turned tripod base with splayed legs terminating in brass cap castors, Irish circa 1780, from Dunkettle Estate, an 18th century house built in the Palladian style for Abraham Morris, a wealthy Cork merchant.
