BA2 chair by Ernest Race
As wood became more readily available after the end of World War II, Ernest Race developed his groundbreaking BA3 to incorporate a veneered backrest in mahogany, birch or walnut. The successor to one of the first mass-produced cast aluminium chairs, the BA2 was designed by a man who is arguably Britain’s most original and outstanding 20th Century furniture designers.
In cast aluminium, the frame can be lacquered, or linished and left raw as part of our signature finish. Also available with an upholstered back and arms: the BA3A.
