Big Library Stool
Reminiscent of stools by 19th century furniture designer George Smith, the Big Library stool will have a timeless presence in any room and is generous enough to accommodate a stack of books, a tea tray, and several pairs of resting feet. It has a solid beech frame and turned legs in oak, mahogany or walnut. The fixed deep-buttoned cushion is traditionally hand stuffed and stitched with horsehair, supported on a webbed platform.
Hand made to order in one of our specialist workshops, this stool ‘relives’ traditional construction and upholstery methods of the early 19th century. The result is a piece of furniture that has integrity and visibly superior craftsmanship, capable of withstanding heavy use so that it will only improve through use and the passing of time.
Craftsmanship and quality are absolutely central to everything we do at Howe London and we are passionate about promoting and preserving traditional skills, click here to read more.Dimensions
