The classic and pretty bobbin leg became fashionable towards the end of the Regency period, crisply turned in beech and usually ebonised or faux grained to imitate expensive rosewood which had started being imported from the tropics.

Our Bobbin Leg Chair can also be made to order, traditionally upholstered with a webbed and individually tied sprung seat, stitched up in horsehair to create a comfortable and crisp shape, which will in turn last a lifetime (or two).
