C19th Mahogany Clerk’s Stool
An C19th mahogany clerk’s stool, having had the horse hair suffed seat carefully restored from beneath to retain the original black laquered oil cloth fabric, matching the back and standing on a classic Gainsborough style legs, England, circa 1860
Note, a very similar stool was used by Lucian Freud in his painting studio.
