An C19th mahogany clerk’s stool, having had the horse hair suffed seat carefully restored from beneath to retain the original black laquered oil cloth fabric, matching the back and standing on a classic Gainsborough style legs, England, circa 1860. Note, a very similar stool was used by Lucian Freud in his painting studio.
