Early C19th Swedish Leather Domed Stool

A unique and very stylish early 19th Century Swedish stool, more decorative than functional, the sculptural form having a horsehair stuffed domed seat with covered in brown Morocco leather with very interesting saddle stitching, on wooden screw height adjustment, standing on three out-swept beech legs, all in original condition. The stool may of been at workbench or a desk, which had a footrest to allow more comfort. Sweden, circa 1800
