






Early C20th Pagoda Hanging Lantern
An early 20th Century hexagonal hanging lantern in the form of a pagoda, the body displaying six lattice windows with one hinged as a door, each set between two horizontal panels, the upper panel with simple pierced lines reminiscent of Chinese calligraphy, supporting a distinctive overhanging shallow pitched roof, mounted with projecting trusses united by a simple pinnacle or ‘gajur’, suspended from a large ring and original chain, finished at each corner of the base with fanciful hand cut and formed dragon flames.
