Gainsborough Stool

Stylistically very versatile, the Gainsborough Stool is so-named for it’s plain but precisely executed square legged base. Traditionally hand made in one of our specialist British workshops, faithfully adhering to 18th century methods, constructed in solid oak and beech. The base is upholstered using hand-stitched horsehair, topped with a horsehair and lambswool squab cushion, covered in your choice of fabric, with float buttons.

Custom made in a range of wood finishes this stool can be constructed with cross-stretchers and antique brass leather barrel castors depending on your preferred size and design.
