George III Window Seat
A sleek take on an 18th Century Regency style double scroll end Window Seat. Sitting just as beautifully at the end of the bed as it would in the windows of a grand regency town house.
Expertly upholstered using hand stitched horsehair to create the elegant fine lines of the outward swept scrolling ends, with a firm yet comfortable cushion. Hand crafted in beech and set on plain square legs in a fumed oak, braced by stretchers.
Our frame maker pays every respect to the use of pegged ‘mortise & tenon’ joints and ‘dovetailed’ stretchers to achieve remarkable strength in such a slender, lightweight frame, true to the essence of 18th Century English furniture.
Available to order in your own choice of fabric.
