Grecian Chair

For purity, classical form, comfort and a discreet level of craftsmanship, the Grecian chair has to be my favourite. Favoured by the Regency architect and designer Thomas Hope, this ‘Klismos’ form takes inspiration from ancient Greek chairs, although we’ve only been producing it for 30 years! Completely hand crafted in oak with beech rails, the seat webbed and stuffed with horsehair and stitched into shape for hours to produce the crisp edge to the seat which will out last us all. You may choose from a selection of natural Morocco leathers at 36 Bourne Street or a suitable fabric they can advise you on, tied in with a leg colour and finish of your choice.
