Lion Mask Bookcase
Architectural Regency style open bookcases, sitting on a cupboard or folio base, the reeded flanking columns surmounted by lion masks below a stepped cornice. Made of Scandinavian redwood ready to be painted, or in English quarter-sawn oak, the top section housing adjustable shelves, on a deep lockable cabinet with green tasseled keys. Originally made for Felicity Dahl, widow of Roald Dahl, author of children’s books such as Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Matilda and James and the Giant Peach. It is important to note (the extra photographs show this) that the upper depth is designed specifically to house novels, while the base can accommodate anything from shoe boxes to photograph albums.
Available and priced as a pair but also available individually.
