Louis XVI style bergère chair
An elegant Louis XVI style bergère chair, the moulded beechwood frame in original faded blue-grey paint, having two foliate carved finials to the arched top rail above a tall slender back and upholstered reeded scrolling arms with conforming downswept sides, all covered in the original velvet and satin gold stripe with a matching squab cushion, the back having an exposed frame and terminating in a moulded seat rail with neoclassical carved square decoration above fluted tapering legs. France, circa 1870
