Pair of C19th Brass Canister Oil Lamps

A small pair of 19th century brass canister oil lamps, each with a cylindrical body boldly adorned with baroque style repoussé work, below a decorative pierced oil burner, raised on a plinth finished with a beaded top edge and moulded base edge, bearing the maker’s label to the plinth ‘Lampiste A Turin C. Erselius’ and marked on the base ‘INV ‘T’ A PARIS’, one marked 1869. Both in wonderful condition retaining the original gilt finish, circa 1869. Bought in Sicily.
