Set Of Four Exceptionally Charming Goan Hardwood Dining Chairs

A unique set of four dining chairs from Goa, the balloon backs relief carved with grapevines around an oval caned panel above a caned seat supported on turned hexagonal front legs and swept back legs united by an H stretcher. The chairs are very sturdy with replaced caning but remain in original crusty condition, showing wear and surface oxidation constant with their age and origin. India, circa 1870
