Small 1950’s Classical Style Onyx Lamp-base

A small classical style lamp, the brass collar atop an Egyptian Onyx baluster stem raised on a brass circular foot finished with a moulded edge, set on a deep onyx plinth with striking characteristic orange veining mounted with two small lion masks holding decorative fine linked chain swags, set into a circular base finished with a moulded edge and conforming classical details. Re-wired for the UK with a clear flex. Italian, circa 1950
