Available now, one of our favourite Tamburlaine Sofas yet, covered in a beautifully tonal and highly practical deep dark green antique tarp canvas, the outside back and arms left ‘deconstructed’ to reveal the craftsmanship and beauty of construction.

Our generous and deep seated Tamburlaine Sofa is completely hand-crafted, utilising the strength of beech for the frame, with spoke shaved pitch pine arms on oak legs. The squab style seat cushion is filled with pocketed down and feather, supported on a webbed platform that we have supplemented with short springs to add softness to the seat. Our frame maker pays every respect to the use of pegged ‘mortise & tenon’ joints and ‘dovetailed’ stretchers to achieve remarkable strength in such a slender, lightweight frame, true to the tradition 18th Century English furniture.
