ANTIQUE STOCK MANAGER
We are looking for a part-time Antique Stock Manager, 2 days a week, to cover a maternity leave period. This role will involve managing and maintaining our sizeable antique inventory. It will demand exceptional organisational and administrative skills as well as a genuine interest in the subject and ability to research and write stock descriptions and deal with sales.
Type: Maternity cover October 2020 – September 2021
Hours: 2 days per week
Location: Pimlico Road, London SW1
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
· Greeting clients in our Pimlico Road showroom and assisting with sales
· Maintaining the stock inventory system, inputting all new stock information and ensuring that items are labelled and priced
· Scheduling photography of new stock for the website
· Updating descriptions and images of older website stock entries
· Recording and inputting all antique costs to our database
· Researching and writing ‘new arrivals’ stock descriptions for Christopher Howe’s approval, to appear on our website
· Contributing content and ideas for both instagram and marketing purposes
QUALIFICATIONS
· Sales experience, preferably in the industry
· Some knowledge of antiques and interiors
· Excellent writing skills: cataloguing experience desirable
· Research abilities appealing
· Copious common sense

· Excellent written and spoken communications skills
· A proven track record of successfully completing tasks to a high standard
· You enjoy working in a team
· Comfortable working under pressure and unflappable in the face of unforeseen priorities
