A George II Irish Mahogany Wake or Hunt Table
An early George III mahogany hunt or wake table of compact scale, the deeply figured oval top on six plain square legs raised on square brass cup castors, the two longitudinal leaves supported on central gates. The table appears to have been reduced in length, perhaps to make for a more useable size, however the elements are all original and the fabulous quality and colour of the mahogany makes this a very attractive table at a reasonable price. English circa 1760
