C20th Danish Rosewood Plinth Cabinet

A mid century rosewood veneered, elliptical “plinth” cabinet by Johannes Sorth for Bornholm Mobelfabrik, the curved pedestal with conforming top and plinth having a single door retaining its original lock and key, revealing an interior with an arrangement of four adjustable cherry shelves plus the base shelf, the flat unfinished back ensuring the cabinet sits well against a wall stamped ‘BM made in Denmark’.
