Set of Six Chippendale Period Dining Chairs
A set of six very honest and lovely quality classic Chippendale period mahogany dining chairs, each with a carved serpentine top rail centred by scrolling leaves and a single lotus leaf flanked by bold scrolls, above a decorative pierced splat back intersected with carved and moulded foliage, set between ogee moulded uprights, the old green Rexine (oil cloth)upholstered drop-in seats within moulded edge, raised on plain front legs with caddy moulding to the outer edge and a characteristic broad inside stop chamfer, finished at the top with fine spandrels, out-swept back legs, all united by plain stretchers.
