A William IV Channel Islands Mahogany Chest

A very good quality mahogany chest of drawers, of exceptional colour and figuring. The inverted breakfront top with moulded edge detail above four long graduated drawers with stunning flame veneers, flanked by a pair of spiral fluted pilasters, on bold leaf carved stylised paw feet, the lower shaped apron centred with a flowerhead. In good original condition with some minor chips and shrinkage to the side as pictured, awaiting restoration which will be included in the asking price. British Channel Islands, circa 1830
