Bobbin Leg Chair
The classic and pretty bobbin leg became fashionable towards the end of the Regency period, crisply turned in beech and usually ebonised or faux grained to imitate expensive rosewood which had started being imported from the tropics. Our Bobbin Leg Chair also offers the option of oak or other painted colours. The cushion is sprung with a proper stuffed and stitched horsehair squab, rarely found these days due to the time and skill required to make one, but this will in turn last a lifetime (or two).Craftsmanship and quality are absolutely central to everything we do at Howe London and we are passionate about promoting and preserving traditional skills, click here to read more.
