Bobbin Leg Stool

The classic and pretty bobbin leg became fashionable towards the end of the Regency period, crisply turned in beech and usually ebonised or faux grained to imitate expensive rosewood which had started being imported from the tropics. Today we also offer the option of oak or other painted colours. The cushion is a proper stuffed and stitched horsehair squab, rarely found these days due to the time and skill required to make one, but this will in turn last a lifetime (or two).
