‘The designer and his client share a boundless enthusiasm for beautiful things and have kitted out this house accordingly. Together, they have transcended faddish trends to create a timeless interior packed to the gills with eclectic pieces and impeccable craftsmanship.’
House & Garden Magazine, February 2018

Nestled into Bray’s high street, parts of this house date back to the early 16th century. Christopher’s ambition was to create a sense of light and space by removing the later false walls and elegantly expose its transition through the ages, celebrating the original charm.

Reclaimed materials have been creatively repurposed throughout the house. The kitchen extension with its pitched timber and glass roof is supported on weathered iron columns and the giant parquet floor is playfully formed of French cheeseboards. Upstairs the old pine floorboards have been resourcefully turned into bathroom wall panelling, and other select walls stripped back to reveal beautiful original brickwork and beams. Every detail, textile, object and piece of furniture has been carefully chosen to create a timeless, harmonious but above all useful home.
