Travelling Greyhound

In the tradition of British campaign furniture, one can dismantle the Greyhound settee to make it both more interesting and practical. A series of loose tenon joints and finger bolts allow the arms to be removed and the back to lift off, making the settee easily transportable, accessible for even the tiniest rooms at the top of a narrow staircase, or take it travelling! As before, the oak frame is traditionally hand-made and upholstered using hand-stitched horsehair and a pocketed down cushion. Once the hand-made bolts are secure, the clever, yet simple, traditional mechanics of the construction make it as stable as the fixed version of the Greyhound.
